Quince are from the same family of fruits as apples and pears. When fully ripe they have a wonderful aroma which can fill a room. We source our organic quince from orchards in Spain where it ripens slowly in the heat intensifying its flavour.
We make our Quince Fruit for Cheese using just quince and a little lemon juice and sugar and we cook it until it becomes a thick and spreadable. It can be paired with any good cheese, from a mature cheddar to a blue veined cheese or even a soft goats cheese.
Our Quince Fruit for Cheese also works well with cold meats and you can add a spoonful to a gravy to make it richer and sweeter.
